Our Story

Some people meet over a cup of coffee, Robert and Gary met over a splash of The Beatles…Robert was an acknowledged Beatles expert having authored books on the band. He also hosted the podcast Something About The Beatles (that every Beatles fan will enjoy!). Gary was a dedicated listener and also something of a Beatles expert himself having created a course on the band for the continuing education department of College of Du Page. They met at the Fest for Beatles Fans in Chicago where Gary floated a fresh show idea. Robert liked it and Gary became a reoccurring guest on the podcast. A couple years back, they began a series on Something About The Beatles identifying their three favorite songs (gold, silver and bronze medal winners) from each Beatles album. Gary and Robert (and SATB listeners) enjoyed the conversation so much that they decided to stretch beyond the Beatles and discuss a broader range of classic rock albums. Hence, Classic Rock Album Olympics!
